Balyktakh, Megino-Kangalassky District, Sakha Republic
Balyktakh ((ロシア語:Балыктах)) is a rural locality (a ''selo''), the only inhabited locality, and the administrative center of Meginsky Rural Okrug of Megino-Kangalassky District in the Sakha Republic, Russia, located from Nizhny Bestyakh, the administrative center of the district. Its population as of the 2010 Census was 883,〔This figure is given for Meginsky Rural Settlement, a municipal formation of Megino-Kangalassky Municipal District. According to Law #173-Z 353-III, Balyktakh is the only inhabited locality on the territory of this municipal formation.〕 of whom 438 were male and 445 female, down from 963 as recorded during the 2002 Census.〔''Registry of the Administrative-Territorial Divisions of the Sakha Republic''〕
